miTunes
Since I gave you a sneak peek at what was going on inside the workshop, how about we hear what's pumping out of the workshop's speakers...
It's all about old school lately. miTunes are taking me back. Back, like almost 15 to 20 years (holy!). As I work, I'm reminiscing about college house parties, high school crushes, friends I don't see often enough, and friends I've lost touch with.
I love the older stuff - LOVE it! Yes, I have newer stuff on rotation (hello?! new moon soundtrack. duh), but when I hear Alanis, or old Dave, or Counting Crows, I pretty much have to stop what I'm doing & sing along.
So, here are 10 (ok, 11) songs that have me realizing that me at 15, heck, even 18, was a LONG time ago.
Motorcycle Drive By - Third Eye Blind
Money Can't Buy It - Annie Lennox
Buffalo Stance - Neneh Cherry
February Stars - Foo Fighters
You Oughta Know - Alanis Morissette
Plowed - Sponge
'Round Here - Counting Crows
Crowing and Windmills - Toad the Wet Sprocket
Typical Situation - Dave Matthews Band
Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
(and, no makin' fun - I have my songs, you have yours!)
What are you listening to? Any new music you think I should check out? Anything from when you were 15 or 18 played on your iPod lately that you want to talk about? Let's hear it!

I'm sure you didn't listen to this, but we were obsessed with playing Aaron's Party by Aaron Carter over Spring Break because it reminded us of junior high...do you like MGMT?
ReplyDeleteI do like MGMT - I guess they have a new CD out that's supposed to be really good.
ReplyDeleteI don't know the Aaron Carter song. ;)
