grab your sombrero rehearsal dinner invites

we're rounding out the designs for baby sister's wedding. debuting the rehearsal dinner invites before the big invite reveal (of which i still need to photograph).

we tied in all the colors and fonts of the other designs, and added in the next element - kraft paper.
i always say, a fiesta is a perfect time to break out the sewing machine. ok, i don't always say that, but it is. especially when you want the invites to look like they have fun mexican flavored banners along the top.
how 'bout we get a little close-up of my perfect sewing lines? perfectly imperfect. just like me!
no design is complete without a matching envelope. you knew that already, right?

hosting a party soon? rehearsal dinner? wedding? let's have a little chat. i've got just the thing!

that's font-tastic - custom bridal shower invitations

wowza, has this been a long time comin'! it's time to show you, my three readers, all of baby sister's goodies. starting with her bridal shower. here's a little memory refresher of where we left off - save the date and the bridesmaid invites. de nada

{digression alert}
so, we've got these super dear friends - we're all practically sisters, and no question - mama mary was gonna host a shower for baby sister. now, mama mary's daughter has this ah.may.zing design business and it never crossed my mind that she wouldn't design the invites. so when mama mary called to tell me 'you know the style, you've done everything else, you're doing the invites to this', i hopped to it. she's not called 'sarge' for nothin'!

still with me? how 'bout we see the finished product?

if you recall, her colors were pool blue and coral. she wanted a fun design with lots of fonts - i think the trendsetters are calling these circus style. i don't really get it, but what do i know? so, fun, fonts, and fabulous? i'd say!

gotta have that matching envelope. let me just say - i don't think a design is complete without somethin' on the envelope. either printed or label, i don't care, but it just adds so much to the overall product, doncha think?

and, you know she needed thank you notes for all those prezzies. she actually used these for most of their gifts since the fonts and colors tied everything together.

what do you think? bachelorette party's coming up next. get excited!!

have a shower coming up? we totally need to chat.

howdy pardner - surprise 40th birthday invitation

it seems like it's all about the kiddos around here most of the time. so, when i get an order for an adult party, i get super excited. especially fun, theme-y parties!

the request for this design was beer and bbq. how'd i do?
it was a surprise, and she wanted to make sure people knew it was adults only. she had quite a bit of information she wanted to include, which makes my double-sided designs perfect. no need to cram all your info on the front.
envelopes to match finished off the invitation - nothin' like a little excitement in the mailbox amid all the junk and bills!

have a birthday coming up? a different kind of party? let's have a little chat!

yeehaw!

here comes the bride

from baby showers and announcements to bride and groom celebrations. had quite a few orders for bridal shower invites. here are just a few that have gone out recently.
fiestas are always a big theme for any party. whip up some fajitas, serve chips, salsa, and some margaritas, and you're golden. i thought it was super cute that they requested guests bring their favorite spice.

another take on a similar design. this time for a couples shower, and with the addition of the printed envelope. linen paper gives both invitations that little added excitement.
stripes and fun fonts are sometimes all you need to make an invitation. and, this font is one of my faves. you'll see that in the next two invites! this was a tapas party, but they didn't want to get to theme-y.
a silhouette of a bride's dress, in the bride's colors makes this design stand out - and, the scripty font just classes it up!
same style invite, but a ribbon around the bride's waist adds another dimension. printing it on super thick paper and rounding the corners take these over the top. invites don't have to be flat cards. ribbons, rhinestones, layers, rounded corners - all give your invite that extra special something.

getting married? hosting a shower? let's have a little chat!

other designs might give you more ideas.

three men and a little lady

ok, maybe they're not men yet, but they will be someday, and i wanted to use a catchy title! as usual, i digress. here's a collection of the latest baby announcements. you may see a theme here - apparently chevron is kinda popular. (or i just really enjoy it as a design element!)

grey and yellow are also trendy right now, so we fulfilled mama's wish for that. and, truly the sky's the limit with how many images you can use on your announcement.
i can't even get over how adorable these pictures are! they truly make the announcement, and i knew they needed to be showcased. printed on reeeeaalllyy thick, yummy paper, mama obliged my need to round the corners. she wasn't in the mood to address all the envelopes, so those got some flair, too.

no chevron here, but definitely boyish stripes and colors. a fun statement on the front gives the card personality. and, a scripture always adds something to the finished product.
so, in my design history, i think i've designed maybe 4 or 5 girl announcements. it's all boys out there, i tell ya! who's gonna date all these boys?!

maybe... this little lady? chevron? check. polka dots? check. little birdies? check. and an adorable saying to introduce miss thing. i'm guessing this might get 'stolen' in the future!
preggers? have a newborn? ready to announce that little bundle to the world? let's have a chat!

will you be my bridesmaid?

guess what came in the mail last week??!!
i was so excited to get it, speshly since middle sissy got hers three whole days before me! excited because, 'member, i sent off the innards for baby sister to assemble herself. and, i couldn't wait to see it all done up. big, fat party in the mailbox right here!

everything was tucked in a yummy, metallic cream envelope wrapped with my favorite label style. 'to' on the front, 'from' on the back. (major tip here: you'd be surprised how often postage is underestimated, so weigh your finished project before you buy stamps and ship.)
baby sister personalized each card with a picture of each girly-girl, which slips easily out to use as a fridge reminder. adorable washi tape and matching ribbon holds it all together.
the inside gets dressed up with fun embellishments and more dang cute washi tape (um, the girl in the dress? sweet like sugar!). fun letters stamped in coordinating colors make sure no stone's left unturned (or, no envelope's left unopened).
can you say fun?? and, seriously, folks, when you get a labor of love this cutey-cute in the mail, how can you say no?

well, one thing's for sure, i'm definitely fulfilling my matronly duties...with honor!
